Forecasting Analyst

The Forecasting Analyst is expected to establish and reinforce analytical processes and provide daily support for Sales & Operations. The Forecasting Analyst will work with Account Managers to execute the strategy for big box retail customers with online presence and our commercial customers.
Specifically, he will assist in driving sales, optimizing inventory, reviewing and entering commercial orders and addressing all sales related tasks. He serves as the Account Manager’s primary support for setting up and maintaining assortments through data management, responding to customers, and providing analytical support to help the entire Artika sales team achieve their sales and profit plans. The Forecasting Analyst will also work with cross-functional groups internally like Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing and Channel Management on issues that impact the business.
This position reports to the Sr. Business Planner.
**Job Duties**
- Manages all product information and works with retail to onboard new products and relays product information internally.
- Expert in retail systems required for daily tasks:
- Containerization Tool
- Item Data Management
- AIM
- Bamboo Rose
- CHUB
- POM
- MLX
- FlexPLM
- CRX
- Partners with cross-functional groups across Artika to analyze components of the business where problems exist.
- Works with Account Managers to identify, quantify, and communicate opportunities.
- Performs various administrative and tactical duties for the account.
- Supports the Account Managers during the business review and product line review processes.
- Works on various product tests within respective category, including inventory monitoring, in-store execution, and visual merchandising.
- Assists with Forecasting and Replenishment
- Review, enter and track commercial customer PO.
- Leads PO/SO follow up internally
- Leads Weekly tracker meetings
- Onboarding new items/SKU Set-ups
- Leads communication with Buyers, Merchant Planners, and onboarding analysts at retail.
**Requirements**:
- Experience with reporting, analytics and forecasting.
- Ability to dive deep into analysis while maintaining line of sight of strategy, goals and objective.
- Experience developing and presenting reports.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly, maintain focus, execute with a high degree of accuracy while working with complex data in an environment of changing priorities and requirements.
- Strong analytical, critical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work accurately with close attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in team settings.
- Ability to function in high stress situations maintaining professionalism.
- Strong problem-solving and resolution recommendation skills.
- Friendly, courteous and outgoing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), Adobe Acrobat, and Social Media web platforms.
- English (working proficiency), French is an asset.
- Knowledge of complex MS Excel is an asset.
- Knowledge of BI Reporting and EDI transmissions an asset.
- Industry experience an asset.
- Must be able to move and/or lift up to 10 pounds.
- Overtime and weekends may be requested during peak times.
- Degree in business or commerce is an asset but not required.
