We are looking to hire a **Utility Locator **to join our Sales & Engineering team. This is a seasonal hourly based at our head office, located in Edmonton. The **Utility Locator **must be able to align with the company’s core values: Commitment, Attitude and Respect. Some key responsibilities include the following:
**Key Responsibilities**
- Locating utility lines, cables, pipes and other conduits that carry utilities underground;
- Analyze blueprints to determine where construction projects will take place;
- Use magnetic, radar and electrical equipment to locate lines;
- Use GPS or surveying equipment to pinpoint coordinates of lines;
- Perform calculations to arrive at the depth of lines;
- Compile gathered data and prepared images into professional reports.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Previous experience as a utility locator will be an asset;
- Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license or above with a clean drivers abstract;
- High attention to detail, strong communication skills and ability to follow directions is required;
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions is required;
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently with little supervision is highly desirable;
- Willingness and ability to work extended hours and weekends is required;
- Valid safety certifications required.
