**Summary**: The Sales Manager is responsible for achieving his or her own sales targets, as well as supporting the Guelph Solar sales team members in reaching their targets through various development and management tasks. Core competencies for this role include accountability, leadership, communication, teamwork, adaptability, and creative thinking.
**Responsibilities include**:
- Information gathering with prospective clients.
- Educate prospects about the benefits of solar and the solar installation process.
- Design solar energy systems, calculate cost savings estimates, and prepare sales proposals.
- Deliver screen-share consultations, present proposals, and answer questions.
- Follow up with prospective clients and close the sale.
- Recruit, train, and develop sales team members.
- Foster a cohesive, collaborative, and positive culture within the sales team and organization.
- Set and achieve team sales targets, as well as personal sales targets.
- Provide ongoing feedback and support sales team members in closing sales.
- Deliver feedback on monthly targets to sales team members.
- Identify and facilitate ongoing sales team training to enhance product knowledge and sales effectiveness.
- Prepare sales reports and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Research new market opportunities and support senior management in developing strategies for market expansion.
- Identify and implement new policies and processes to improve sales and organizational efficiency.
- Vendor relationship management.
- Perform other duties relevant to the position, as required.
- Work remotely primarily, and conduct site assessments to meet prospective clients and assess viability of solar.

- Excellent time management skills.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite.
- Strong computer skills, able to learn new programs.
- An understanding of solar energy systems, the equipment involved, and government incentives for solar.
- A basic understanding of home electrical equipment and home construction methods, is an asset.
- 5 years of sales experience.
- 2 years of management experience.

**Salary**: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
