**Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Public Works and Community Services, the Associate
Director is responsible to oversee the Public Works, Community Services and
Engineering divisions of the Public Works & Community Services Department with
leadership responsibility relating to the maintenance and operations of
water/wastewater, municipal roads, engineering, infrastructure, fleet, parks,
cemeteries, arena, pool and associated facilities.

- University Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or related field- A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in senior management,
- preferably in a municipal operations environment- Leadership experience managing in a unionized environment
- Professional Engineer (PEng) registered with the Association of Professional

Engineers of Ontario or Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) registered
with the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and
Technologist
- Excellent interpersonal, project/time management, analytical, communication,

presentation, problem-solving, facilitation, negotiation, and staff leadership and
supervisory skills
- Thorough knowledge of municipal operations including planning, budgeting and

scheduling

The salary range for this position is **$123,471.00 - $144,010.00,** is a 40 hour per
week work schedule, includes a comprehensive pension and benefits package as
