Fortis Mining Engineering & Manufacturing is currently recruiting for a **Machinist** This position is primarily responsible for creating quality parts produced on CNC machines such as but not limited to lathes, milling machines, and equipment according to company plans, blueprints, and other diagrams.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Detect equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjust machine controls or control media as required to ensure quality of production
- Load parts and operate controls
- Inspect quality of parts and product
- Effectively communicate with supervisor and other co-workers
- Process jobs according to company policy and protocols
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area
- Complete job orders accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports
- Report deviations from specifications and tolerances to supervisor
- Perform other related duties as assigned

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Journeyperson status or Third or Fourth year apprentice; any level of apprentice would be considered
- Any safety-related training certificates would be considered an asset
- Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience, that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities for the position
