Materials Testing Technician

EXL Engineering Kelowna is currently looking for a Materials Testing Technician to perform onsite and laboratory materials testing and inspection work in the **Okanagan, BC** region. The qualified applicant will be responsible for providing accurate and timely sampling, testing and inspection for quality control purposes within the civil construction industry; including concrete, asphalt, aggregates and soils. Use of a **nuclear density gauge** is an asset; including understanding gauge results to meet and exceed compaction specifications, ability to safely operate, maintain and calibrate a device.

Working in the field and in our materials testing lab, the technician will be required to prepare and maintain various test reports and records, liaison with client representatives, navigate non-conformance issues and provide technical support where needed.

Starting Wage: $20.00 to $25.00 /hour. Wage and benefits are negotiable based on experience. Company vehicle and on the job training are provided.

**Requirements**:
Math and personal communication skills, a valid driver’s license, and satisfactory driving record. The ability to lift at least 50lbs on a regular basis is required.
