**Human Resources Administrator**

VineHR is supporting the Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver (BBGV) with the hiring of their next **HR Administrator.** It is a wonderful opportunity if you have 2-4 years of HR experience and looking for a role where you can make a difference while growing your HR skills. The main areas of support required are administrative in nature, such as onboarding coordination, vacation tracking, recruitment support and benefits administration.

This is a full-time position at 35 hours per week. Comprehensive compensation package offered as well as the option to work a hybrid work model (3 days in the office and 2 days at home).

**Responsibilities**

The following are the key duties and responsibilities of the Human Resources Administrator:
**Employee & HR Administration**:

- Maintains employee files for thoroughness and accuracy
- Maintains files on benefits, recruiters and other HR documentation
- Creates paperwork for supervisor signature regarding changes in terms of employment - i.e. increases, leaves, changes in hours
- Support the implementation of HRIS as necessary

**Payroll Support**
- Supports maintenance and upgrade of the outsourced payroll system
- Provides backup relief for payroll processing when Accounting staff are on vacation
- Supports the adherence to latest payroll regulations and guidelines

**Compensation & Benefits Administration**:

- Liaises with Benefits providers and performs benefits administration tasks
- Prepares the monthly benefits reconciliations and invoices
- Answers questions from employees with regards to compensation and benefits
- Administers updates and changes to benefits coverage
- Maintains vacation and sick leave schedules, liaise with managers

**Recruitment & Staffing Logistics**:

- Assists with review of resumes if needed
- Participates in interviews if needed
- Prepares New Hire paperwork, creation of personnel files
- Performs onboarding and orientation in conjunction with department manager and Office Administrator

**Performance/Recognition**
- Oversees performance review process, reminders to managers
- Oversees employee recognition programs such work anniversary recognition and holiday gift cards
- Post-secondary education such as a diploma or degree in Human Resources
- 2+ years related work experience ideally in an administrative HR capacity
- Experience providing HR administrative support in a not-for-profit environment is an asset
- Experience with Ceridian’s Dayforce is an asset
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- High attention to detail and ability to review own work
- Demonstrated abilities using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) at an intermediate to advanced level
