Midland, Canada Habitat for Humanity Ontario Gateway North Full time

People all over the world partner with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home. With our help, Habitat for Humanity homeowners achieve strength, stability, and the self-reliance they need to build a better life for themselves and their families. Proudly owned and operated by Habitat for Humanity Ontario Gateway North (HFHOGN), Habitat for Humanity ReStores plays an integral part in Habitat for Humanity’s mission, bringing financial support for our work and offering a unique opportunity for people across our communities to experience and interact with us.

As the Donor Experience Officer, what we call the **Assistant Manager (Scheduling and Receiving), **donor stewardship and management on behalf of the ReStore is at the heart of all you do. In this role, you ensure a positive, fair, and equitable experience for the donor at all times. You lead a small team of staff and volunteers through a donor management process that begins with the initial contact and pickup, through assessment and receipt of acceptable goods. Your tactful engagement with the donor - even when necessary to decline an unsuitable donation - allows you to preserve the relationship, assuring future offerings. You are directly accountable for the Donation Ambassadors’ schedule and route, ensuring timely pickup and delivery of donations. The product flow continues, as you and your team complete any minor repairs to donated goods, assign appropriate pricing, and ensure that a quality, saleable product arrives on the showroom floor. Administrative responsibilities extend to providing Gift-In-Kind (GIK) tax receipts and any donation-related documentation as required. As a member of the ReStore management team the Donor Experience Officer shares responsibility for the success of all of HFHOGN’s ReStore outlets, and as a front-line team leader, you are also accountable for raising awareness of the role of the ReStore and the mission of Habitat for Humanity.
