Incorporated in 1992 and wholly owned by Albertans, AERP is Alberta’s largest scrap tire recycling company. Our company was created as a direct result of environmental policy initiatives by the Government of Alberta. We work closely with the government to ensure that your discarded tires continue to provide future benefits across the province. We collect, transport and process scrap tires from across the province.

To support the on-going growth of our business, we are currently seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and safety-oriented Lead hand to join our team. This position will be responsible for providing technical support and front-line leadership to a team of 20 people, reporting directly to the Shift Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in team meetings with the Supervisor daily to review and coordinate safety, product quality, staffing/HR issues, equipment readiness, and schedule and performance
- Lead the startup and shut down of all direct/indirect equipment associated with assigned process
- Operate any equipment required to perform tasks within the assigned process (ie: forklift etc.)
- Monitor assigned staff for safe operation of equipment and appropriate PPE compliance, ensure staff are producing quality product, and ensure the use of responsible production time
- Thoroughly complete Production/Maintenance Reports each shift as the method to communicate
- Promote active safety culture by supporting HSE program and policy requirements
- Immediately report any concerns or issues directly to the Supervisor
