**Accountabilities/Responsibilities**:

- Plan and schedules shipments by rail, ocean, air, and over the road.
- Responsible for entering daily information into Tailwinds with accuracy and efficiency while maintaining shipments.
- Check credit and request approval when necessary (before product is shipped).
- Tracking shipments daily and communicating any changes to Service Companies, Traders, and Accounting.
- Ensure Truck Insurance/Marine Insurance are in place and all other documentation supports the shipment according to import country/destination.
- Negotiating rates and generating the best prices.
- _Responsible for having Knowledge and Understanding of: _
- Routing
- Transportation options
- Pricing trends (fuel and rates)
- Supply and demand
- Seasonality
- Driver availability
- Trader/customer accounts
- Markets
- o Responsible to follow up with: _
- Carriers to confirm they reported into Inspection Facility when required.
- Inspection Facility to confirm inspection has been completed when required.
- Responsible for reporting any issues or challenges to Team Lead.
- _Building Strong Relationships With: _
- Product suppliers
- Willard customers
- Traders
- Service providers (transportation, cold storage, and border crossing)
- Team Lead
- Customer service and regular communication pertaining to load status, any additional costs, claims, any other issues related to the shipment with the trader.
- Coming to the trader with forward thinking, solutions or options pertaining to the deal.
- Provides professional customer service.
- Ensures compliance with SOPs and BRC Global Standards.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree / College Diploma in Related Field.
- Customs and Agriculture Experience.
- Food Industry Knowledge.
- Transportation Experience.
- 1-2 years in Logistics Role/Related Field.
- Effective Communication Skills.
- Effective Problem-Solving Skills.
- Quick learner, Motivated to Continuously Develop and Grow.
- Flexible, Ability to Manage Change.
- Fluency in English.
- Language Skills (Multilingual an asset).
