**Position: Production Coordinator**
**WHO WE ARE**:
La Soyarie has been producing tofu for over 40 years. The company is in the Outaouais region, and a new plant has opened on the corner of Lorrain Boulevard. It manufactures and distributes a variety of high-quality soy products, made in Quebec, and inspired by the Japanese tradition.
**Position type **:Full-time (37.5h/week)
J**ob location**: 109 Boulevard Lorrain and 94 Adrien-Robert Gatineau (temporary two locations up to 8 months)
**Schedule**:Monday to Friday
**Salary **:$48,000 - $50,000 + bonus

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Tofu Production Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising all Soyarie production operations. This key role involves effectively managing inventories, available resources, purchasing materials, ensuring compliance with quality and food safety standards, and coordinating production activities to ensure product quality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in managing food production operations, contributing to the company's overall success and customer satisfaction.
- Plan daily production, taking into account inventories and orders.
- Organize schedules and coordinate daily food production operations to ensure efficient workflow and achievement of production goals.
- Purchase materials for production as verify inventory levels
- Plan and organize the human, material and technical resources required for production, taking into account production schedules, quality requirements and food safety standards.
- Manage and supervise production teams, providing guidance, training and regular appraisals to foster skills development and ensure optimum performance.
- Ensure compliance with food quality and safety standards, ensuring that current procedures and regulations are followed at all times.
- Collaborate with quality control, maintenance, and procurement departments to solve operational problems, optimize processes and ensure compliance with standards.
- Evaluate production performance, analyze data, and identify continuous improvement opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce costs and improve product quality.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and management to ensure effective coordination of activities and resolve problems proactively.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new initiatives, technologies, or procedures to improve production processes and meet changing market needs.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- University degree or equivalent training in a relevant field, such as production management, food engineering or food science
- Bilingualism: English and French (spoken and written)
- Driver licence
- Interests in food industries

RÔLES ET RESPONSABILITÉS
Le ou la coordonnateur(trice) de la production de tofu est responsable de planifier, coordonner et superviser l'ensemble des opérations de production de la Soyarie. Ce rôle clé implique la gestion efficace des inventaires, des ressources disponibles, acheter du matériel, la garantie du respect des normes de qualité et de sécurité alimentaire, ainsi que la coordination des activités de production pour assurer la qualité des produits. **Tâches consistes**:
- Planifier la production quotidienne en tenant compte des inventaires et des commandes
- Organiser les horaires et coordonner les opérations quotidiennes de production alimentaire pour garantir un flux de travail efficace et la réalisation des objectifs de production
- Acheter des matériaux pour la production et vérifier les niveaux de stocks
- Planifier et organiser les ressources humaines, matérielles et techniques nécessaires à la production, en tenant compte des calendriers de production, des exigences de qualité et des normes de sécurité alimentaire
- Gérer et encadrer les équipes de production, en fournissant des orientations, des formations et des évaluations régulières pour favoriser le développement des compétences et garantir des performances optimales
