**Position/**Poste: Program Instructor - Full-time

To deliver both group based and one-on-one programming for adults living with disabilities.

**Duties/**Fonctions:

- Plan, and facilitate programming which produces outcomes aligned with the intended purpose of the Program (co-leading pre-employment skills, recreation and community engagement activities)
- Conduct intake interview meetings with clients to determine eligibility/suitability of client for participation in program
- Maintain accurate and timely reporting of program/class issues and related matters utilizing CRM system
- Support the team in building positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Provide practical support, and referrals to programs and services offered by MODC and other partner organizations, that will help the client achieve their goals.
- Support and engage in program promotion externally
- Support and engage in MODC local fundraising, awareness activities and events
- Promote a positive and safe work environment
- Manage change in a constructive and positive fashion
- Maintain confidentiality and privacy
- Perform other tasks delegated

**Qualifications/**Compétences requises:

- Post-secondary degree or diploma in recreation, developmental services, human services or related area.
- Experience in group facilitation (in person and virtual)
- Understanding of common conditions and disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, Developmental Disabilities, Acquired Brain Injury and effects of Stroke
- Ability to modify and adapt facilitation style and materials for differentiated learning
- Demonstrates professional, customer-focused behavior
- Ability to advocate for people living with a disability, their families and caregivers
- Ability to communicate effectively and build professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including health professionals and care givers
- Ability to effectively problem-solve, make recommendations and take appropriate action
- Good organizational and planning skills; effective team player
- Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office, video conferencing software and other virtual platforms
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification an asset
- Driver’s license essential
- Bilingualism an asset (English/French)
