**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**:
We are seeking a highly motivated, team-orientated individual to join our Skills Training, Employment, and Post-Secondary Education (STEPS) team as an Administrative Coordinator.

Reporting to the Senior Director of STEPS, the Administrative Coordinator manages calendars and activities to ensure maximum efficiency and value, while assisting with administrative, finance, and operational functions. The Administrative Coordinator applies a high level of professional maturity and good judgment to coordinate support and support the realization of the vision, mandate, and goals of MNBC.

**KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Provide support to the Senior Director and Director of STEPS with day-to-day operations which may include calendar management, travel arrangements, telephone, in-person and electronic inquiries, and directing inquiries to appropriate individuals within STEPS;
- Work with the Finance Department to process invoices and expense reports;
- Coordinate internal and external meeting logistics, including facility logistics, preparation and printing of meeting materials and agenda, facilitating telephone or online conference calls, attending meetings, taking minutes, and creating action items for follow-up to ensure completion;
- Ensures the timely preparation and presentation of materials for key external and internal meetings;
- Prepares and generates briefing memos, a variety of reports and provides relevant updates on a variety of topics;
- Liaise and facilitate communication with Cabinet members and Chartered Community Leadership
- Support with the procurement and distribution of resources, materials, and supplies including preparing purchase orders;
- Assist with additional projects, and
- Actively participate as a critical member of the STEPS team to create solutions that advance the successful, efficient, and effective delivery of STEPS programs.

**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE**
- Diploma or degree in Office Administration, Business, or related field
- Three (3) years of experience in a progressive administrative capacity
- Knowledge and/or awareness of the historical and contemporary contributions made by Métis people in BC
- Able to perform clerical and administrative duties with deliberate speed and accuracy and without immediate and constant supervision
- Proven ability to write reports and business correspondence with outstanding grammar and proofreading skills
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to lead, problem-solve, and utilize team building skills
- Proven ability to utilize, adapt and embrace new technologies, including in-depth experience with Microsoft 365

**OTHER COMMENTS**:

- Other duties may be assigned as needed to help ensure the efficient operation of MNBC.
- There will be a need to attend meetings and events which will require work and travel outside of normal business hours.
- Ability to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s license and access to a reliable personal vehicle for work purposes.
