**Full-Time and Part-Time Employment Opportunities - Event Accounting Assistant**

As VCM will once again develop into the focal point of the holiday season in Vancouver, we are looking for customer focused, detail-oriented and multi-tasking self-starters to join our team as an Accounting Assistant. This position requires full-time/ part-time availability. The term for employment is from November 8th, 2024 to December 24th, 2024. VCM is looking for one full-time member and one part-time member

**Role and Responsibilities**
- Work closely with the Director of HR and Finance, and Hospitality and Guest Experience Managers to ensure smooth cash-handling operations of the Market
- Audit end of day sales reports and to reconcile cash, credit card, discounts, and tokens
- Assist Finance Manager with daily reporting and statistics
- Work independently and responsibly in close collaboration with team members throughout operational hours
- Assist with preparation of daily floats

**Requirements and Selection Criteria**

To be considered for the position, you must:

- Provide a criminal record check
- Have QuickBooks desktop experience and knowledge
- Have sound knowledge of Excel
- Have professional cash-handling experience in the event, food service or banking industry
- Have strong administrative and accounting skills
- Be available to work 40+ hours a week including extended evening shifts and weekends
- Be detail-oriented, accurate, and well organized
- Be a team player with excellent communication skills
- Have the ability to work under pressure and within a fast-paced environment
- Be fluent in English
- Have dedication and passion for Christmas festivities and events

**Compensation, Incentives and Bonus**
- CAD $22.00 / Hour
- Completion bonus for finishing the VCM season - based on hours worked.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 2 months

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Additional pay:

- Bonus pay

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Vancouver, BC V6C 0C3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- QuickBooks: 1 year (preferred)
- Bookkeeping: 1 year (preferred)
