If you're a dedicated professional with a strong background in accounting and bookkeeping, a keen interest in corporate tax filing, and expertise in payroll management, this role is a good fit for you.

Work Location: In person

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping:
     Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
  • Payroll:
     Manage payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees, and compliance with all relevant regulations and tax laws.
  • Work directly with Chartered Accountant (CPA):
     Collaborate with our Chartered Accountant to prepare and file corporate tax returns and ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations.
  • Financial Analysis:
     Assist in preparing financial statements, and conducting variance analysis.
  • Documentation:
     Maintain organized financial files and records, ensuring easy access and retrieval as needed.
  • Ad Hoc Tasks:
     Assist with various accounting and financial tasks as required by the team.
  • Minimum 
    Administration
    work when required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting work experience 
    inside Canada
    .
  • A degree or diploma in accounting, finance, or a related field 
    inside Canada
    .
  • Proficiency in accounting software, including 
    QuickBooks
     and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations 
    in Canada
    .
  • Experience in payroll management, including knowledge of payroll software and regulations.
  • Excellent 
    attention to detail
    and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to 
    ongoing professional development.

Other:

  • Experience in public practice is an asset.
  • Proficiency in accounting software including 
    Profile
    and 
    CaseWare
     is an asset.

Job Location: Located in the downtown Vancouver area, within walking distance to public transport.
