Perform custodial and housekeeping tasks. Maintain the facility in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner. Perform all tasks to assure that the facility reflects a high quality of care and appearance.

This is a travel opportunity in city of Kincardine, ON.

**Key Activities and Responsibilities**

This may include the following tasks:

- Identifies and responds to issues affecting client safety.
- Improves client health and safety by actively searching for opportunities to educate clients and their families on creating a safe home environment and to ensure that proper health teaching is always given when possible.
- Cleaning the areas - kitchen, bathroom/s, living room, dining room, family room, as well as vacuuming, washing floors, and countertops
- Cleaning small appliances - microwave, coffee pots, toaster, and/or toaster ovens. As well as the stove and refrigerator.
- Make sure to clean the corners when washing the floors as well as the inside/outside of the toilet bowl.
- Make sure the floors and countertops are wiped dry
- Cleaning bathrooms/tub, toilet, sinks and floor;
- Dusting all rooms;
- Washing kitchen and bathroom flooring, including trim;
- Vacuuming;
- Spot cleaning marks on walls;
- Cleaning mirrors and glass surfaces;
- Cleaning stoves, refrigerators, cupboards and closets;
- Assisting client to organize paper work, prepare for moves (i.e. sorting through items/boxes, closets, drawers, etc.)
- Cleaning silverware;
- Cleaning soiled laundry, paying special attention to laundering instructions;
- Changing and cleaning bed linens regularly, at a minimum of once per week;
- Checking client’s drawers, hampers, and closets for soiled laundry (dependent on client’s cognitive abilities). We are looking for the following in a new team member:

**Qualifications**:

- A desire to work one-on-one with clients and to make a difference in their lives
- A willingness to go above and beyond for the client
- Experience working with seniors
- CPR
- Police Record Check - Vulnerable Sector
- TB test
- Ability to speak, read and write in English
- Flexible availability

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Casual
