Bookkeeper Job Description:
We would like to hire a fully-charge Bookkeeper to take care of all our company’s day-to-day financial tasks. You need to be self-starters and able to multitask effectively. Strong communication, organizational and customer service skills are essential. You will be responsible for both accounts payable and receivable along with all payroll and bank account management and reconciliation tasks. To do well in this role you should have previous experience as a bookkeeper and have used the desktop QuickBooks.
**Responsibilities**
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
- Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, supplier’s ledger, customer ledger and general ledger.
- Perform all activities related to the accounts payable function including reviewing, coding, and processing payments weekly.
- Perform account receivable functions including invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition.
- Enter data, maintain records, and create reports and financial statements.
- Perform payroll reports semi-monthly in an accurate and timely manner.
- Managing bank and visa card reconciliations, and year end adjustment
- Monitor any variances between internal system and QuickBooks.
- Calculate agent and counsellor commission by monthly.
- Some works signed by direct manager.
**Requirements and skills**
- Proven bookkeeping experience minimum of 3 years in Canada.
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and QuickBooks desktop software.
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin(mandatory).
- Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of GAAP.
- College or BS degree in Finance, Accounting
Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Scarborough, ON M1G 3T5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

- Master's Degree (preferred)
**Experience**:
- QuickBooks: 2 years (preferred)
- Bookkeeping: 2 years (required)
