**JOB SUMMARY**
The **Product Support Specialist** is responsible for providing in depth product knowledge and product commercialization support to various internal product and sales teams.
**CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Work collaboratively with the Product Management team to ensure that all incoming customer/sales requests are reviewed and resolved or passed on to the appropriate group.
- Accurately cross-reference and/or research external brands to identify corresponding Medline products.
- Resolve customer and sales inquiries and challenges, while collaborating with more senior level employees on more complex problems/crosses.
- Access gaps in product offerings and work with the relevant product manager to set-up new items (PCNC) for the Canadian market.
- Compete setup process for new vendors by working cross-functionally with Accounts Payable and vendors; including both sourcing (PIR) changes for existing items, and vendors created for new items
- Process product discontinuations alongside Product Managers, including: providing alternate product options, notifying the sales teams and customers of the change and product differences
- Provide ad hoc administrative support and respond to sales rep questions as needed.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, or related field.
- Excellent organizational, planning, communication, and follow-up skills
- Ability to handle a high volume of requests with efficiency and empathy
- Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Action and results oriented demeanor
- Ability and comfort in creating, developing, and doing new things
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite - Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, and Project.
- Experience in managing products that are clinically oriented
- Bilingual - English and French (asset)
