**The Role: Pharmacy Practice Lead**
**Principal Responsibilities**:
- Assists district lead with implementing new pharmacy programs within stores.
- Coaches pharmacy staff, as necessary, when pharmacy professional practice incidents occur (e.g., following submission of a Medication Incident Report).
- Assists district lead and pharmacy manager with resolving patient complaints.
- Ensures Pharmacy practices and procedures are in compliance with regulations and policies.
- Oversees pharmacy formulary compliance.
- Supervise store level pharmacy to ensure adherence to store systems and procedures for Perpetual Inventory, and dispensary workflow.
- Assists business partners with a smooth and successful transition of a new and/or acquired pharmacy and store transfers, ensuring correct operational standards are being implemented and operational procedures are followed.
- Assists with the implementation of pharmacy marketing programs to ensure they are properly implemented at stores, including but not limited to clinic days, pharmacy services initiatives, callback, compliance programs and Rx pricing strategies.
- Support the recruitment and development of pharmacists and pharmacy interns.
- Responsible for handling customer concerns, in an effective manner.
- Follows all responsibilities outlined in the provincial health & safety legislation and adheres to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Effectively communicate with all levels within Rexall Pharmacy Group, and with Rexall partners which may include suppliers, vendors, pharmaceutical companies, physicians & clinics, nursing agencies, as well as universities & colleges.
- Control and maintain all pharmacy related budgets and expenses.
- Provides leadership and motivation to pharmacy management by modeling the Rexall values and leadership competencies.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support Rexall Pharmacy Group Ltd.
**Knowledge, skills and experience**:
- University degree relevant field; Business degree an asset.
- Licensed Pharmacist is required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- 6+ years relevant management experience; in a Pharmacy Management role preferred.
- Superior organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects with mínimal direction.
- Demonstrated experience in a role that required making sound decisions.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to empower a large group.
- Ability to work independently and on a team.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service/patient care focus.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Must be flexible to travel as required to meet corporate needs.
