Role Overview
Rejuvenation is seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Medical, Health and Safety Officer to oversee medica health and safety operations to ensure compliance with medical policies, procedures, and regulations across Canada. This individual will be responsible for maintaining up-to-date compliance standards that meet provincial and federal requirements, as well as developing training programs to keep our medical staff informed and aligned with these standards. The Medical, Health and Safety Officer will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care.
Role Objectives
The Medical, Health and Safety Officer responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Compliance and Support
- Maintain strong working knowledge of current industry regulations, including, but not limited to general developments in health policies developed by Rejuvenation, participants, local government, and the CPSA
- Ensure that all NHSF accreditation standards are adhered to in accordance with CPSA guidelines.
- Manage the NHSF accreditation process for all new facilities
- Manage the EMR and other medical technologies pertaining to medical services to ensure charting, billing, and patient records maintenance adheres to Company guidelines as well as local regulations.
- Work with the Operations team to set-up new providers in the EMR to ensure a successful onboarding process.
- Assist with the procurement of medical supplies by establishing relationships with vendors and creating proper ordering protocols for the clinic teams.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance-related inquiries and concerns.
- Partner with HR and other departments to ensure integration of compliance standards into onboarding and continuous training programs.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with medical policies, procedures, and regulatory standards across all provinces where Rejuvenation operates.
- Regularly review and update policies to reflect changes in provincial and federal regulations.
- Other duties as required by the President and/or the Medical Directors.

Policy Development and Implementation
- Develop and implement medical policies and procedures that align with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with clinic managers, nurses, and leadership teams, to ensure policies are practical and achievable.

Training and Education
- Design and deliver comprehensive training programs to educate nursing staff on medical policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
- Maintain strong working knowledge of current industry regulations, including, but not limited to general developments in health policies developed by Rejuvenation, participants, local government, and the CPSA and provide training where gaps are identified.
- Provide ongoing education to address regulatory updates and new compliance initiatives.
- Develop training materials, resources, and tools to support effective learning and implementation.

Reporting and Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, training sessions, and audits.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management on compliance performance and areas for improvement.
- Stay informed about industry trends and recommend changes to policies and practices as necessary.

Role Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. Advanced certifications in healthcare compliance or risk management are an asset.
- Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) and/or Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP).
- Minimum of 5 years in a compliance-related role in the healthcare sector, with experience in policy development and staff training.
