Come Grow with Us Forsite is actively looking for **Forest Technician**with general understanding and experience with Alberta forestry practices, based out of our **Edmonton, Alberta** location.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**

Under the direction of the Manager - Alberta, the Forest Technician is responsible for forest inventory plots, forest development activities including reconnaissance road centerline and cutblock boundaries, ecological and riparian assessments, and completing all deliverables in a safe, timely, cost effective and professional manner.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES**
- A safety conscious attitude;
- Post-secondary education with a diploma or degree in a relevant discipline;
- General understanding and experience with forest operations and forestry practices in Alberta,
- Valid driver’s license for 5 years and clean driving record;
- Enthusiastic and passionate about forestry and working outdoors in all weather conditions;
- Able to work both independently under limited direct supervision as well as in a dynamic team environment;
- Effective problem solving with decision making skills; and,
- Registered or eligible to be registered with the Alberta Association of Forest Management Professionals, is preferred.
