We are currently looking to hire an experienced Freight Broker. This position is an in-office position

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Initiate sales and marketing calls to prospective or current clients
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients
- Prospect for leads to build a pipeline, including heavy cold calling
- Manage accounts to retain existing relationships
- Succeed at heavy price and service negotiation with customers
- _Your own book of business an asset_
- Familiarity with supply chain operations and logistics processes i.e. balancing LTL loads and identifying FTL requirements
- Understanding of 3PL (third-party logistics) industry
- **Experience in freight brokering within a non-asset/asset-based company Logistics Coordinator**:

- Experience billing end client
- Establish schedules and procedures
- Coordinate activities with relevant stakeholders and prepare reports and administrative processes accordingly
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders ensuring all processes are on track
- Communicate with customers regarding shipments as required including challenges/issues regarding service
- Problem resolution; and
- Other responsibilities as required.

**Qualifications**

**Experience**:

- 5 years experience in similar environment
- 3 years experience in freight brokerage environment

**Education and Certifications**:

- Diploma and/or Degree in relevant discipline preferred (Supply Chain Management, etc.)

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Knowledge with shipping terms and documents
- Knowledge of cost per KM within Canada (highway and local)
- Sales experience
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong Communication Skills
- Advanced knowledge of logístical concepts and supply chain terminology, specifically with international freight
- Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively with strong attention to detail
