**POSITION** **Social Impact & Engagement Lead** **Location**:Calgary, Alberta **Position Type**:Full Time (37.5 hours per week) **Hours**: Monday - Friday **Program**: TAWAW Family Resource Network Miskanawah (meaning "many little paths" in Cree) is an Indigenous-led organization offering supportive services grounded in cultural traditions and teachings. We believe that children, youth, and families thrive in culturally responsive communities. **Position Summary**: The FRN Social Impact and Engagement Lead plays a pivotal role in supervising Hub staff, coordinating Spoke services within the Family Resource Network (FRN), and leading efforts to track and enhance the impact of the FRN’s Hub and Spoke initiatives. Grounded in the teachings of Wahkotiwin, this role emphasizes relationships, community, and mutual respect. The Lead will create a culturally safe space where families feel valued, heard, and supported. Through storytelling, relationship-building, and strategic oversight, this role ensures that the Hub and Spokes' activities align with community needs, strategic goals, and a commitment to positive social impact. This position demands a strong, visionary leader who is culturally grounded, community-focused, and passionate about creating positive social impact. The a team, and use data and storytelling to enhance community connections and program effectiveness. **Responsibilities**: - Supervise and mentor Hub staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure meaningful and culturally sensitive service delivery. - Provide leadership and coordination to Spoke services within the FRN, achieving aligned impact and outcomes. - Integrate the teachings of Wahkotiwin into all aspects of the role, emphasizing relationship-building and honoring community values. - Design, implement, and monitor the impact and outcomes framework for both Hub and Spoke services. - Analyze data and feedback to assess program effectiveness, recommend improvements, and enhance social impact. - Coordinate community events, workshops, and outreach activities that are culturally grounded, increasing awareness and participation in Hub and Spoke services. - Prepare reports and presentations that highlight the achievements, impact, and growth opportunities of FRN programs. - Utilize social media platforms to engage with the community, promote events, and share impactful stories while maintaining cultural respect and relevance. **Skills and experiences**: - **Cultural Competency**: Deep understanding and respect for diverse cultural backgrounds, particularly Indigenous communities, with the ability to incorporate the teachings of Wahkotiwin into program delivery. - **Leadership & Mentorship**: Proven ability to supervise and guide a team while fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. - **Community Engagement**: Skilled in organizing and facilitating culturally responsive community events, workshops, and outreach activities. - **Storytelling & Communication**: Ability to share stories that resonate with the community and effectively highlight the FRN’s impact. - **Data Analysis & Reporting**: Proficient in analyzing data, tracking program outcomes, and preparing clear and actionable reports. - **Social Media Proficiency**: Experienced in leveraging social media platforms to enhance community engagement, promote events, and amplify the FRN’s stories and achievements. - **Adaptability**: Comfortable navigating and managing change in fast - paced, complex environments. **Requirements**: - A Bachelor’s degree is required in a related field (Social Work, Education, Community Development, Communications, or equivalent), but a Master’s degree is preferred. - A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience with a proven ability to lead and mentor teams. - Demonstrated success in managing change in dynamic and culturally diverse environments. - Experience in developing and executing program evaluation frameworks, with a focus on assessing and enhancing social impact.
