**Job Summary**
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to help prepare preserves for a busy local Farm Market. The Kitchen Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring that all food preparation areas are clean and organized, assisting with meal preparation, canning and hot water bathing preserves, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about food and making preserves with fresh local produce.

**Responsibilities**.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning countertops, and disposing of waste.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and sanitized after use.
- Stock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

**Skills**
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and organization.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Basic understanding of food safety practices and hygiene standards. Must have current Food Safe Certificate.
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is a plus but not required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 1.5 month

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
