Langley, Canada Global Mining Products Full time

**Global Mining Products** / **GMI Wheels** is a **Langley**, **BC**-based off-highway / mining wheel manufacturer looking for an experienced **Machinist **capable of **CNC **and **Manual operations** to work in our machine shop producing large steel parts.

**Experience **with **operating **a **Manual Vertical Lathe **is also **required**.

**Job Duties**
- **Independent setup **and **operation **of **milling and turning machines**.
- Finished **part inspection **to ensure sizing.
- Use of **overhead cranes** and **forklifts **for loading and unloading.
- Routine **machine maintenance.**:

- **Maintain **work area **cleanliness **and **organization**.
- **Coordinate **order **delivery dates **with the Production Scheduler.
- Ensure **inventory **of all **necessary tooling**.

**Qualifications**:

- **3 - 5 years CNC machining experience**.
- **Experience **with **manual VTL **turning machines.
- **QA/QC experience**.
- **Ability **to **lift **up to **50 lbs**.
- Comfortable working around **large**, **heavy steel components **in a **noisy **manufacturing **environment**.
- Ability to **work independently **with **mínimal supervision**.
- Good **listening** **skills**.
- Good **spoken **and **written English**.
- **Punctuality **and excellent **attendance**.

Pay: From $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
