Under the supervision of the Finance Manager, the VNFC Payroll Clerk will perform all aspects of payroll and assist with the maintenance of the VNFC accounting system.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:(include the following and not limited to, **other duties may be assigned**)
- Sign up new employees within government regulations, create profile in Sage and electronically file supporting documentation on server
- Electronic enrollment for employee’s benefits plan
- Administration of RRSP for employees
- Replicon import of employee bi-weekly tracking data into Sage
- Reconcile Replicon data to Sage payroll employee detail report
- Provide report to the Finance Manager showing all field (EE, RRSP, CP-RRSP, Union Dues, Reg Hrs., Reg Rate 2 Hrs., V/P, Sick Leave Hrs) are balanced for authorized signature
- Forward the Direct Deposit pay period report for final authorization
- Upload pay period data from Sage to payroll processing link “Central 1”
- Reconciling of payroll clearing & payable accounts
- Prepare the semi-monthly (1st-15th & 16th-month end) payroll remittance to CRA
- Prepare and submit bi-weekly payroll Union Dues
- Prepare and submit bi-weekly payroll RRSP contributions
- Prepare and submit bi-weekly payroll ProPass to BC Transit
- Prepare the monthly GWL entries matching the employee/employer contributions
- Preparing the reporting to WorkSafe BC (uploaded, and payment processing)
- Preparing the Employer Health Tax (EHT) installment
- Prepare payroll accruals
- Process termination and leaves using ROE Web
- T4 & T4A preparation and filing
- Performs other financial duties as required

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES**:

- Has strong problem-solving and logical analysis skills, and resolves problems in a timely manner
- Writes clearly and informatively; Presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret written information
- Maintaining a filing system
- Excellent organizing skills and attention to detail
- A team player approach to dealing with internal and external stakeholders
- Must maintain professional standards and maintain confidentiality
- At least 5 years of bookkeeping experience in all aspects of payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Proficient with SAGE 50 including the payroll module and PayDirt
- Experience with Replicon timesheet/payroll program
- Proficient with Office 365
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to translate financial concepts to and to effectively collaborate with programmatic and fundraising colleagues who do not necessarily have finance backgrounds

- SALARY: Wage Scale $29.50 per hour depending on experience_
- HOURS: 35 hours/week with schedule to be set to best meet agency needs._
