**Job Profile**:
**Equipment Set-up and Operability**
- Ensure that maintenance and repair of compressed air equipment is done in a timely & correct fashion. Maintain screw compressors, startup checklists & preventive maintenance reports.
- Review, recommend & implement improvements in compressor operations, & maintenance activities.

**Machinery / Repair / Equipment Maintenance**
- Familiar with all compressors & support equipment within the site.
- Initiate & participate in trouble shooting & corrective action investigation activities. Ensure technical aspect of proposed problem resolution is implemented as required.
- Maintain accurate inventory of equipment spare parts & change parts.
- Identify & purchase replacement equipment components through interfacing with personnel from external contractors/suppliers.
- Resolve failures of plant air support equipment, including compressors, compressed air dryers, compressed air filtration, and oil/water separators.

**Continuous Improvement**
- Develop, review & improve preventative maintenance work to reduce failures & unplanned downtime.
- Provide feedback to Service Manager with regards to equipment operability. Participate in OEM factory training, Commissioning & start-up of new equipment installations. Aid in the installation of new equipment.

**Health and Safety**
- Proactively identify & resolve safety concerns.
- Identify areas where training is required.
- Observe & conform to all OHSA and H&S guidelines & procedures
- Conduct risk & hazard assessments
- Participate in the establishment of annual H&S objectives

**Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Traits Required for the Job**:

- A minimum of 1 year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated progression through various levels and responsibilities
- Technical diploma or equivalent maintenance experience
- Millwright with school completed looking for continued competency hours

**Competencies**:

- Excellent interpersonal, communication (English) & negotiating skills
- Broad engineering and/or maintenance background in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of mechanical & electrical trouble shooting methods
- Competency in Microsoft Office 365 and Windows 10
- Knowledge of how to use machine tools & hand tools safely & correctly
- Working knowledge of the principles of electronics, pneumatics, and fluid power.
- Knowledge of safety responsibilities (legal and company procedures)
- YOU MUST BE A CANADIAN CITIZEN and live within 50km of Burlington. No exceptions

**Working Environment**:

- Industrial environment with various forms of industrial equipment.
- 24 Hour operation with on call expectations for emergencies.
- Overtime may be required depending on operational requirements.
- Physical activities will consist of all-weather indoor / outdoor activities (plant visits), prolonged periods of standing, lifting and twisting

**Salary**: $25.00-$36.00 per hour

- Overtime
