Golden Touch Accounting Services Inc., a Golden Touch Group company, is a well-established Accounting Firm with head-office in Halifax, NS and branch offices in PEI, NB, Toronto, Vancouver and mainland China. Golden Touch Accounting Services seeks an **Accounting Assistant **for their Halifax head-office to meet its increasing workload demand.

**As an** **Accounting Assistant**, **your responsibilities will include**:

- Clerical duties, including answering the phone, client queries, mailing, filing, stock tracking;
- Resolving administrative problems, stocking office supplies, and seeing to the upkeep of office equipment;
- Being clients’ first point of contact, understanding clients’ need, and direct clients to proper staff;
- Communicating with accounting clients for bookkeeping material & payroll information;
- Posting invoices, tracking A/R, bank deposit, printing checks;
- Preparing and filing assigned correspondence, reports to clients and management;
- Sending correspondence to Canada Revenue Agency;
- Perform Internal bookkeeping for Golden Touch companies;
- Other duties that may be assigned.

**The requirements and skills for this position include**:

- Post-secondary education, focus in business
- Previous experience in a professional office environment, preference will be given to those with accounting/legal experience
- Ability to speak both English and Chinese or Korean is a significant asset
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Taking initiative at work place, strong teaming and Independent work skills
- Ability to handle a high volume of work within prescribed deadlines
- Good Communication Skills, be able to think independently and make sensible judgment
- Strong Microsoft Office and Computer skills
- Able to drive and has own vehicle is an asset

**Salary**: $16.50-$20.00 per hour
