**Heavy Equipment Operator (Water & Sewer)**

Firma Contracting is currently seeking an experienced Mainline Hoe Operator, Side Hoe Operator, Dozer, and Wheel Loader to work on underground / water & sewer projects located in Saskatoon. **Duties include (but are not limited to)**:

- Installation of underground utilities in close proximity to existing utilities and in existing residential / commercial areas
- Work closely with pipe crews to install pipe - ensuring a high level of safety, communication and quality
- Adherence to legislation for excavation and trenching requirements
- Lower materials to pipe crews using proper rigging mechanisms and procedures
- Operate equipment in close proximity to ground personnel and other equipment
- Ensure work is always done safely, to the highest quality standard while maintaining strong production
- Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program
- Daily equipment inspections and maintenance
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner with honesty and integrity

**Required Skills**:

- 3+ years of experience as one or all of the following: Mainline Hoe Operator / Side Hoe Operator / Dozer Operator / Wheel Loader Operator
- Underground utility rehabilitation / replacement experience is an asset
- Exceptionally safety conscious
- Able to work independently and follow instruction from the superintendent / foreman
- Ability to operate other equipment is an asset
- Strong communication skills

**Required Certifications**:

- CSTS 2020
- WHMIS 2015
- Ground Disturbance Level 2
