Warehouse/forklift Operator

**Introduction**:
Photech Environmental Solutions Inc. is an industry leading hazardous waste management firm based in Niagara Falls, Ontario. We specialize in the packaging, transport and recycling/disposition of hazardous wastes generated from industrial, institutional and educational facilities throughout the Province.

Our operations include:

- A provincially licensed processing and transfer facility in Niagara Falls, ON that receives and consolidates hazardous wastes for recycling or disposal.
- Distillation technology for the recovery of spent solvents from industrial operations.
- Paint recycling technology (managed via our sister company, Loop Recycled Products) that is unique to this Province, turning household paint waste into new coatings sold under the brand “Loop Recycled Paint”, and retailed in Walmart and Giant Tiger stores across Canada and the U.S.
- A provincially licensed transportation system providing waste packaging and removal services to customers throughout Ontario.

We are seeking energetic, outgoing and detail oriented individuals with an Ontario Secondary School Diploma to work in the production facility as a member of our operations team.

**Scope of Work**:

- Assisting and/or leading the unpacking of cubed vans, straight trucks or tractor trailers containing non-hazardous and hazardous waste in containerized forms. Preparing these trucks with supplies for the next day.
- Labour based material handling including but not limited to the handling of pails, drums and totes. Lifting, loading, stacking, pumping and general bulking using applicable material handling procedures and equipment.
- Assisting in the operation of vacuum tanker operations emptying out bulk drums and tote sized volumes of containerized waste
- Consolidation of containerized wastes for outbound shipping, crushing of metal drums for recycling and moving containers up to 50lbs in weight.
- General warehouse requirements and facility maintenance.

Training will be provided internally in Ontario Regulation 347, the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act, chemical compatibility parameters, the proper use of personal protective equipment, and all aspect of our operating permits as issued by the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks.

a) Have an Ontario Secondary School Diploma.

b) 1 - 2 years fork truck experience.

c) Be able to work as part of a fast paced environment.

d) Demonstrate an aptitude for critical thinking as it applies to health and safety in a chemical production environment.

e) Experience in the hazardous waste industry and/or the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act is considered an asset.

f) Establish their own means of transport for reliable work attendance.

Compensation includes:
1. Starting from $20.00 per hour. Room for advancement and increases available, based on aptitude and company growth and expansion programs.

2. Enrollment in the company benefits program after completion of the probationary period.
