Workforce Inclusion Lead (Saskatchewan)
Key Responsibilities
The Workforce Inclusion Lead reports to our Senior Manager, Workforce Inclusion and steward’s current employer partnerships and cultivates new relationships as well as plans, administers and monitors programs within WBF’s Employer of Choice portfolio, our internal employer membership program.
Primary responsibilities are:
- Sourcing new partnerships in key industries in Saskatchewan (and other regions as needed) to support employment and investment opportunities with the intent of growing our Employer of Choice (EoC) network.
- Steward existing employer partners by building strong professional relationships while also enabling an Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) community through the engagement of WBF’s employer network.
- Supporting the Employer of Choice program by engaging with stakeholders, coordinating logistics, and evaluating success. This role will be responsible for bringing EoC into new regions.
- Ensure contract requirements are met and support financial and impact reporting for WBF senior leadership and external funders.
- Monitoring and reporting on industry trends with the goal of providing relevant EDI resources to Employment Partners.
- Planning and facilitating workshops that focus on inclusion in the workplace.
- Representing WBF at industry events.

- Strong communication, written and verbal as well as facilitation, customer service and presentation skills.
- Maintaining data integrity through diligent tracking and reporting.
- Working closely with other departments, most notably Finance, Stakeholder and Government Relations & Alumni Relations.
- Well organized and great attention to detail with ability to consistently follow processes.
- Strong ability to interpret and clearly explain policies.
- Ability to work successfully both as a member of a team and independently.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion standard practices in Canada with the ability to effectively communicate with and educate industry would be considered an asset.
- Strong knowledge and technical proficiency working with computers, including Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience using a CRM is an asset.
Education & Experience
- Diploma or degree in a related field (e.g. business, marketing, communications, public relations, social sciences).
- 3 to 5 years of increasingly responsible experience in a business development, fund development, industry relations or a relationship management position ideally within the construction, trades, or post-secondary environment.
- Awareness of the challenges of women working in non-traditional roles; cultural, economic and social barriers to adult learning and employment.
- Understanding of the trades apprenticeship process and exposure to construction, oil & gas, and/or transportation is an asset.
- Experience and knowledge of diversity, equity and inclusion best practices is considered an asset.
- Capacity to travel throughout Saskatchewan - Responsibilities take the individual off-site to meet with employers, visit jobsites, engage with industry, etc.
**This position requires the ability to travel in Western Canada up to 50% of the time.
