Winter Response Coordinator

- SCHEDULE: 2pm-10pm, Monday-Friday, with flexibility for weekends

The role of the Winter Response Coordinator is to implement and supervise a youth-only warm-up location and offer hands-on support to youth experiencing homelessness and other barriers in Saskatoon.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support youth seeking housing with systems navigation
- Promote and collect winter gear donations
- Manage distribution of winter gear and donations
- Run errands such as groceries, office supplies, art supplies
- Coordinate services including food, snacks, hygiene supplies
- Engage with youth who are accessing the warm-up location
- Assist with scheduled activities and workshops during program hours (5pm-9pm)
- Support youth-led community mobilization actions
- Data collection, research and reporting
- Other tasks as assigned

- Must provide a Criminal Record / Vulnerable Persons check

- Experience working with youth
- Certification/training in Mental Health First Aid
- Familiarity with other agencies and resources in Saskatoon
- Certification/training in anti-racism/anti-oppression
- Knowledge of harm reduction principles
- Knowledge of trauma informed care

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

**Salary**: $21.00-$23.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- SASKATOON, SK: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- relevant: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: One location
