Gibraltar Holdings Ltd. is a well-established company known for its charitable efforts, which includes providing millions of liters of safe drinking water to underprivileged communities in Nicaragua through the "One for One Water Project". We are looking for an experienced and skilled Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Gibraltar Holdings Ltd. **Responsibilities**: - Assist in COR certification and management - Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (noise levels, tools, use of machinery etc.) - Provide safety training on policies, procedures, orientation, and client specific requirements - Conduct risk assessment audits and enforce preventative measures - Review existing policies and procedures and update according to legislation - Review project safety plans and packages prior to the start of projects - Work in conjunction with the Operations team and support field staff in implementing these policies and procedures - Maintaining documents in accordance with compliance requirements including WorkSafeBC regulations, COR Compliance, and our company policies and procedures. - Performing other health and safety related duties as assigned. **Qualifications**: - Certification as a Safety Professional - Occupational First Aid Level 2 or Level 3 - Good knowledge of WorkSafeBC & COR regulations, policies, guidelines and standards - Proactive in identifying hazards and implementing corrective measures - Excellent computer skills - Great attitude and strong work ethic - willing to work and contribute to the Company - Strong organizational skills and be able to multitask - Good communications skills - Detail-orientated - The ability to work independently as well as part of a team - Available transportation to job sites **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year **Benefits**: - Casual dress - Company events - Dental care - Extended health care - Flexible schedule - Life insurance - On-site parking - Paid time off - Vision care Flexible Language Requirement: - French not required Schedule: - Monday to Friday Ability to commute/relocate: - Burnaby, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) **Education**: - Secondary School (preferred) **Experience**: - Construction: 2 years (required) - Health & Safety: 2 years (required) Licence/Certification: - First Aid Certification (required) - Class 5 Licence (preferred) - Certified Safety Professional (preferred) - Certificate of Recognition (preferred) - WorkSafeBC Certification (preferred) - NCSO (preferred) - BCCSA (preferred) Work Location: In person
