JOB PURPOSE

This is a senior role which will have a significant impact in the current and future shape of Unilever UK & Ireland ambient operations. The role holder will be passionate about logistics and supply chain operations and have proven capability within this field. It is an exciting time to seize opportunities and the role holder will be empowered to make decisions which can quickly make a difference for our customers, teams, costs and the environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES- Fully accountable for multi-million budgetary spend across all UK & Ireland physical ambient warehouse operations and local primary movements - encompassing four of the five categories - Home Care, Nutrition, Personal Care, Beauty and Well being- Governance of Distribution Centre safety, quality and security working alongside third party partners- Direct line management responsibility for operational team for all ambient operations - warehouse and transport
- to ensure a superior service to customers- Lead internal logistics contact within Business Unit teams with responsibility for leading the logistics roadmap to deliver GM improvement- Benchmark Distribution Centre operations to become best in class and lead improvement roadmap_- Align with strategic vision for Business Units to ensure capability at optimal cost_- External focus and collaboration as necessary_- Key contact with EU Logistics performance and Strategy and Innovation team for future direction_- Lead internal logistics contact for space and capacity management within the ambient network, working closely with UKI Ambient Transport Manager to ensure the network is optimised- Responsible for scoping, contributing to and part of executing longer term plans for UKI ambient network- Define and lead UKI Logistics automation and data and analytics roadmap utilising internal and external expertise- Key KPIs: Safety, Customer Case Fill On Time, Distribution Centre cost % TO by BU, CPP

ALL ABOUT YOU- Logistics background is preferred and/ or supply chain management background is essential-
- Line management experience and coaching skills- Excellent communication and presentation skills- Experience of business case development- Involvement in strategic decision making- Leadership of cross functional projects or initiatives- Data management and analysis
