Respite Caregivers are contractors who work in the City of Vancouver. They provide a break to parents of adults with developmental disabilities from caregiving responsibilities and a fun, safe and supervised outing/activity for the adult. Schedules are based on the caregiver's availability and the family's needs, but usually entail a 4-6 hour long session on a weekday or weekend day or about 3 hours once or twice a week for 1:1 work with an individual. Caregivers are required to have a clear criminal record, an Emergency First Aid with CPR certification, references and some training or experience with developmental disabilities.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 3-6 per week

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

**We are currently hiring an experienced caregiver for a friendly, sociable 41 year old female with autism, a moderate developmental disability and a seizure disorder, for outings in the community on weekends, living in East Vancouver. The individual requires support with safety and assistance with personal care. Weekend availability required.**

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

COVID-19 considerations:
Caregivers are required to wash hands frequently during work. Masks may be required at family’s request. Caregivers may also be requested to declare (and provide proof if needed) their C-19 vaccination status.
