**Job Summary**:
Reporting directly to the Environmental Services Manager, this position is responsible for housekeeping services, dishwashing, and overall building cleanliness including IPAC sanitation needs.
**Functions**:
1. Clean, dust and wash residents' suites and public areas of the residence, i.e., lounges, corridors and elevators.

2. Clean and sanitize residents' bathroom and all washrooms in the residence, including all fixtures, tiles, floors, vanity and mirrors

3. Prepare rooms for incoming admissions including stocking towels and respite suite set-ups

4. Collect garbage from residents' suites and other areas of the residence and dispose of this refuse in accordance with set procedures.

5. Water and care for plants in the residence.

6. Clean and restock housekeeping cart

7. Report malfunctions in equipment and repairs needed to Environmental Department through the Maintenance Memo Book

8. Notify Environmental Service Manager when housecleaning supplies are low

9. Wash Dishes and follow all kitchen protocols in using the dishwasher to clean residence China and dishware.

10. Clean pots and pans using appropriate soaking and sanitization guidelines

11. Assist at times in the day
- to day operations of the home with residence in emergency and work shortage times.

**Qualifications**:
2. Previous employment in a health care/hospitality setting an asset

3. Demonstrate understanding of/empathy for the needs of the elderly.

4. Ability to speak, read and write English. Must be able to follow oral and written directions and to do simple arithmetic calculations.

5. Ability to maneuver in narrow spaces and follow WHIM and Occupational Health and Safety Act

6. Covid-19 & Flu Shot Highly Recommended

7. Vulnerable Sector Check clearance

8. TB-Testing to meeting Ministry of Health & RHRA Compliance

9. Annual mandatory training completion in compliance with the RHRA and all other governing bodies.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 15-30 per week

**Salary**: $17.50 per hour
