**The Opportunity**
Leavitt Machinery is looking for an **Accounts Payable Supervisor** to join our team in Coquitlam, BC for a 1-year contract. As the Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will be responsible for the payment transactions of the company. You will oversee all payments, ensuring vendors are paid in a timely manner. You will also train and mentor Accounts Payable Clerks and uphold the company’s policies and relationships with vendors.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
As the Accounts Payable Supervisor your key responsibilities will include:
- Oversee weekly cheque run/wire and EFT payment process
- Manage credit card payments
- Ensure accurate vendor setup in AX
- Conduct weekly/bi-weekly one-on
- one meetings
- Assist with projects
- Assist with creating/refining processes
- Assist with monitoring department performance metrics
- Pull/print/match/review weekly cheque run and bi-weekly electronic payments
- Manage Accounts Payable Clerks
- Conduct performance reviews
- GL reconciliation
- Review and approve wire template
- Train and assist other entities with payments
- Update exchange rate in AX
- Review weekly task sheets from Accounts Payable Clerks
**Required Skills & Qualifications**
- Degree in Business, Accounting. or a related field
- Prior experience as an Accounts Payable Supervisor, or equivalent
- Superior Microsoft Office Suite skills, including MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX and Concur will be considered an asset
- Strong problem solving skills and resolution capabilities
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
- Excellent communication skills, customer service skills, and multitasking ability
- Must be accurate, organized, and highly detailed-oriented
- Ability to direct and supervise
- Able to work with minimum supervision

- The base pay range for this role is: $75,000 to $85,000 per year based on experience. _
