Labour Relations Advisor

Reporting to the Senior HR Director, this position will provide the operational leaders with labour relations advice and support consistent with Allied Universal legal obligations and strategic objectives.

**Role Responsibility**:
**Responsibilities include but not limited to**:

- Research, prepare grievances for arbitration
- Lead planning and preparation for arbitrations, third party hearings and instruct legal counsel
- Communicate with various Unions representatives with respect to grievances, company initiatives and other issues related to bargaining unit employees
- Develop and deliver training on labour relations matters including contract interpretations, discipline and attendance management
- Perform other related duties as required

**Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Human Resources with focus on Labour Relations, or a combination of education and experience
- Facilitation and presentation skills
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Negotiation and interpersonal skills including the ability to influence other stakeholders
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interpret and comply with contract language
- Solid understanding of employment law/acts/regulations related to the federal sector
- Able to acquire and maintain Transport Canada Security Clearance and Federal Security Clearance
