**We're seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to support our legal department as a Legal Assistant. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic corporate environment and contribute to the success of our organization without the need for direct attorney oversight.
**Who you Are**:
**Responsibilities**:
- Assisting with corporate maintenance matters.
- Managing, preparing and maintaining franchise agreements, development agreements etc.
- Providing legal support to various departments on franchise-related matters.
- Ensuring compliance with franchise laws and regulations.
- Conducting legal research on a variety of topics, including regulatory compliance, intellectual property, and corporate transactions.
- Assisting with the management of outside counsel and legal vendors.
- Supporting the preparation and updating of the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD).
- Assisting in the management of legal department budgets, billing, and invoice processing.
- Performing other duties as assigned by management.
**Requirements**:
- 3+ years of experience in a corporate legal setting
- Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of Zoho an asset
