Dispatcher required immediately for Overnight Shifts for our Vaughan office

**Major Responsibilities**:
Reporting to Management, responsibilities and essential job functions include but not limited to:

- Conduct safety calls to employees
- Dispatch alarms in a timely manner
- Conduct basic office duties
- Complete tasks in a timely manner
- Writing and sending daily reports to clients and supervisors
- Answering the phone, and filter the information to the right person.
- Operate a multi-line telephone system.
- Receive emergency and non-emergency calls and record significant information.
- Address problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions.
- Confer with customers or supervising personnel in order to address questions, problems, and requests for service or equipment.
- Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance.
- Use radio, or phone to send guards or vehicles to appropriate locations.
- Monitor the route and status of mobile staff to coordinate and prioritize their schedule.
- Record and maintain files and records of customer requests, work or services performed, charges, expenses, inventory, and other dispatch information.
- Daily shift confirmations, including tracking book-ons and book-offs.
- Calling on duty guards to follow-up on site status
- Researching businesses and Sourcing out potential sales leads
- Additional Job Duties:

- Dispatch personnel according to written schedules and work orders, or as required by emergency situations,
- Maintain contact with drivers throughout their shifts and address any routing issues they might have,
- Monitor road conditions, construction zones, and accidents in order to revise routes as needed,
- Maintain vehicle operator work records using computerized or manual methods and ensure time sheets and payroll summaries are completed accurately,
- Other duties as requested
- The ability to stay calm under pressure
- The ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work with others, as well ability to work alone
- Experience with computers,
- Experience with a two way radio and the 10 codes

Able to communicate clearly; both written and verbally

Hours: Overnight shifts Mon to Fri 11pm to 7am, and some weekends.

**Salary**: $17.00 per hour

- Security Guard: 1 year (preferred)
