**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes.
- Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair, ensuring visual appeal and adherence to quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
- Package finished products for display or sale, ensuring freshness and quality are preserved.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of menu items during service hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and ingredients, assisting in ordering as needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to continually enhance skills and offerings.

**Experience**
- Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in a pastry chef role, preferably in a bakery or patisserie setting.
- Proven experience working with French pastries such as croissants, éclairs, tarts, entremets, and macarons.
- Strong understanding of classic and contemporary patisserie techniques.
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
- Experience in cake decorating is highly desirable, showcasing creativity and skill in presentation.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment used in baking processes is important for efficient operation.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Must hold a valid Food Safe 1 Certificate.
- Must be available to work early morning shifts and weekends.
- Having a personal vehicle is an asset due to early start times.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week
