You are an organized team player who can provide support to the Valuation & Assessment Operations department with general office administration and the collection, maintenance and verification of property assessment data.

**You have**:

- Enrolment in secondary or post-secondary education, with a preference for post-secondary enrolment, returning to studies in the next academic term
- Possess good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organization and time management skills in order to assist branch with concurrent priorities
- Ability to work well independently, as well as in a team environment
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Valid G or G2 Ontario Driver's License is required
- Meet Ontario's minimum working age for the job duties required

**Nice to have**:

- A valid Boating License - Pleasure Craft Operators Card

**What you will do**:

- Provide assistance with general office administration and the collection, maintenance and verification of property assessment data
- Develop internal spreadsheets to organize and track the status of building permits and various work objects
- Assist with minor building permit reviews and the retrieval of property assessment data via GIS and aerial photography
- Input and verify property assessment data and ensure data accuracy in internal databases
- Participate in property inspections and refer all discrepancies and general questions from the public to the Manager

**Summer Student Wage Rates**:

- Summer Students currently enrolled in secondary school or students working solely on administrative activity: $17.20 per hour
- Summer Students enrolled in post-secondary, first-time hire: $17.95 per hour
- Summer Students enrolled in post-secondary, returning employment: $18.95 per hour

**Duration of Employment: May through to the end of August**
