Distex is a premium partner to clients and suppliers in the commercial and institutional kitchen equipment field. For the last 31 years, we have been offering high quality products such as cooking and refrigeration equipment, as well as stainless steel accessories. As we are expanding our team, we are looking for a dynamic, outgoing Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Dorval.

**What will your main responsibilities be?**
- Provide a weekly aging analysis to the accounting team;
- Invoice orders in a timely manner;
- Update and maintain customer profiles ;
- Verify customer credit limits;
- Process credit checks for new accounts;
- Respond promptly to customer AR inquiries;
- Send client statements and follow up for payment;
- Collect outstanding accounts;
- Provide feedback on the efficiency of the customer service process;
- Keep records of customer interactions, transactions, and comments;
- Maintaining a positive, empathetic and professional attitude toward customers at all times;
- Communicate and coordinate with colleagues as necessary;
- Cross training in payables;
- Any other administrative task required by the department supervisor.

**Position Requirements**:

- Basic accounting knowledge, with an Accounting diploma or related certificate (DEC or AEC preferred);
- Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment;
- Advanced knowledge of Excel required, SAP Business One an asset;
- Have initiative and work well in a team setting;
- Be fully bilingual French/English and have excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Be committed to provide excellent customer service.

**What are we looking for?**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
