**We are looking for a self-motivated and experienced Teacher to join our qualified team of educators. This is a full time position for Arabic Language, Islamic Studies, and Quran (grades Primary
- 4 & grades 5-9).**

**Responsible for instructing students in elementary, middle and high School (Grades K-12). Creates lesson plans, instructs students in Arabic, Qur'an, and Islamic Studies. Creates a well-rounded, comprehensive instructional program. Delivers required curriculum with an Islamic perspective while integrating the Islamic morals and values.**

**Teacher Responsibilities**:

- **Provide language / cultural intensive student-centered for students using Communicative Language Teaching Approach.**:

- **Teach speaking, listening, comprehension, reading, and writing skills, in an interactive immersion-based environment.**:

- **Adhere to provided training plan (curriculum), program standards and objectives.**:

- **Use technology and authentic & appropriate language resources to create a meaningful and varied learning experience.**:

- **Work collaboratively with fellow teachers.**
**Minimum Competencies and Requirements**:

- **Must hold a college degree**:

- **Degree in Arabic or Islamic Studies is preferred**:

- **For Qur'an teachers, sound knowledge and implementation of the rules of Tajweed is required**:

- **Teacher certification is a plus**:

- **Must have experience teaching Arabic, Qur'an and Islamic Studies in a classroom setting**:

- **Teaching experience in a full-time school settings is a plus**:

- **Be a native speaker of Arabic;**:

- **Have experience teaching the target language to learners at different ages;**:

- **Be knowledgeable of the culture and country associated with the dialect;**:

- **Be proficient in English Language.**:

- **Be capable of using information & multimedia technology & tools, mobile devices.**:

- **Has outstanding written and verbal communication skills.**:

- **Has a well-organized team with excellent leadership abilities.**:

- **Has an exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills**:

- **Currently lives in Halifax**
