The coordinator will create a plethora of material and events that will help contribute to the development of the agency and the promotion of the BSCS missions. Specifically, this role is responsible for social media content that promotes our agency’s services and vision. - **Position Responsibilities**
- Be responsible for the creation, implementation and evaluation of external-facing marketing and communications that supports the organization.
- Coordinate, edit and optimize materials concerning advertising, branding, and marketing
- Participate in the execution of marketing plans, campaigns, and strategies.
- Maintain provision of administrative support, including database management, data input/collection and report generation, as well as public relations.
- Create and maintain BSCS websites and online resources
- Take on a lead role in content creation and maintenance of social media platforms on behalf of the organization
- Offer and provide creative media stratagems and social media posts to promote the services of BSCS
- Recommend techniques to improve and maintain the agency’s public image
- Be able to identify and resolve issues with content in a professional manner
- Work with various external stakeholders and agencies to deliver key messages.
- BSCS is more than a workplace. It is a community where everyone helps and contributes to the whole, and there is an expectation that all employees will take part in events (during the work week and occasionally during weekends and evenings). This includes fundraising campaigns, running community meals, medicine picking etc.

**Qualifications**
- Post Secondary Degree in a relevant field of study (i.e., Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Design)
- At least 1 year of experience in Development, Fundraising, Communications or Marketing
- Experience and knowledge in graphic design
- Experience working in the inner-city and/or non-profit sector is an asset
- Police Check with the Vulnerable Sector and Child and Youth Intervention Check completed within the past six months
- Valid First Aid certificate or enrolled in a future course
- Valid Class 5 Non GDL license and access to a reliable vehicle

Experience with and knowledge of Indigenous culture and ceremonies is considered an asset.
