**About the Role**
The Development and Events Coordinator reports to the Director, Development & External Relations. They are responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding a portfolio of donors and prospects. This role is responsible for event coordination of community led fundraising events and internal fundraising and stewardship events.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Identifies and cultivates donors, sponsors, and community support.
- Manages a portfolio of donors and prospects, including in-person and telephone meetings, electronic, and written communication.
- Aligns the interests of prospects and donors with current and future Glenrose Hospital projects.
- Prepares proposals and works with donors and stakeholders to generate gifts for priority projects.
- Develops and executes a stewardship strategy for donor recognition and impact reporting.
- Coordinates events ensuring high standards for all assigned initiatives.
- Collaborates with internal departments to help develop and coordinate fundraising activities and granting proposals.
- On an ad-hoc basis, supports the Glenrose Research & Innovation team.
- Provides support to event committees to ensure success of events.
- Continuously works to increase awareness of the GHF.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Competencies & Qualifications**
Education
- Post-secondary education in a related field preferred.
- A combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Non-profit fundraising and event coordinating experience is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated success in securing donations and sponsorships.
- Experience planning and executing events, including marketing, budget, vendor management, and volunteer coordination.
Additional Skills & Attributes
- Solid knowledge of ethical principles and best practices related to fundraising, prospect research, and donor relations.
- Ability to translate complex information and communicate the Foundation's priorities to donors and prospects in a concise and compelling manner.
- Extensive familiarity and expertise with Microsoft Office 365.
- Experience with donor database systems, preferably Raiser's Edge.
- Open and honest approach to working with others, including the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Determined to maintain continuous momentum and drive progress; constructive and cheerful; proactive and action focused.
- Comfortable working in ambiguity.
- Curious, active listener, entrepreneurial in spirit.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel occasionally.
- Satisfactory criminal record check
**Employment Details**
Hours & Location of Work
This is a full-time, permanent position. Hours of work are typically during the day, Monday - Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends. This is a hybrid position, where the incumbent is expected to be in-office 2-3 days per week.
Compensation
We offer a comprehensive compensation package, including benefits, professional development, and generous paid time off. The salary range for this role is between $60,000 - $75,000 annually.
