Deli/salad Bar Prep and Production

As a member of the deli department  your role will include setting and maintaining attractive fresh displays, package, prep salads and other ingredients and wrap customer orders, and assure that all objectives and goals of the department and store, as communicated by the Market Manager, and leadership team, are met or exceeded. You will ensure a positive company image by providing legendary customer service.
- **Required Availability: Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM**_

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Give every customer immediate and undivided attention.
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications
- Take special orders.
- Follow through on all customer questions and requests.
- Offer suggestions and recommendations.
- Portion, cut, and slice various products.
- Weigh products on scales and utilize label printer based on the product.
- Properly package and wrap products for retail sale.
- Follow established food safety procedures.
- Keep all cases and shelves clean, well-stocked and properly rotated.
- Maintain accurate retail pricing and signage.
- Be aware of new products, features, and their placement.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Team Lead/Market Manager.
- Rotate prep and cooking stations based on scheduling needs
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
- Maintain inventory and record of food, supplies and equipment
- Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes

Qualifications:

- Previous Customer Service Experience.
- A passion for food.
- Familiarity with different types of deli meats and optional cuts.
- Experience with meat/cheese slicer.
- Basic knife skills.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Ability to lift or carry items up to 40 pounds.
- Must be self-motivated and solution oriented.
- Is available for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the department.
- WHIMS certification requirement (Sunterra will provide online training)
