**Job Overview**
As a Deli Associate, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality food products. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment, ensuring food safety standards are met, and providing an enjoyable experience for our customers. Your ability to manage time effectively and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the overall success of the deli department.

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and serve deli items, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches with attention to quality and presentation.
- Operate the POS system accurately for order processing and cash handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area, adhering to food safety standards.
- Assist customers with their selections, providing knowledgeable recommendations and upselling when appropriate.
- Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed to maintain product freshness and safety.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking supplies as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding food preparation and customer service.

**Skills**
- Proficient in food preparation techniques with a strong understanding of food safety regulations.
- Experience using POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for efficient transaction processing.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Cashiering experience with a focus on accuracy in cash handling.
- Knowledge of basic math for handling transactions and inventory counts.
- Familiarity with sanitation practices in a kitchen or food service setting.
- Previous experience in the restaurant or food industry is preferred but not required.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
