**General Maintenance**

Door Painters has an immediate position available for a full-time General Maintenance Person

**Duties**
- Maintain and repair machines, mechanical equipment, and building.
- Inspect and diagnose problems and figure out the best way to correct them.
- Do routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly.
- Assemble and set up machinery or equipment.
- Plan repair work using blueprints or diagrams or parts catalogues as necessary.
- Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills and wrenches.
- Do general cleaning and upkeep of premises.
- Oversee contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
- Meet with clients to estimate repairs and costs.
- Keep detailed records of their work.
- Strong organizational skills
- Eye for detail
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to maintain focus while working individually.
- Professional presentation and attitude
- Forklift Certification not mandatory but would be considered an asset.
- Painting ability - brush and roller work (a must have)
- Carpentry skills
- Knowledge of Kremlin Spray Equipment would be considered an asset.
- Janitorial Duties

**General Maintenance Skills and Qualifications**:

- The skills and knowledge required would generally be obtained with previous experience in building cleaning and maintenance work.
- Ability to relate to officials, staff and public in a courteous manner.
- Ability to acquire job skills with three months of on-the-job training.
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing from 50 - 100 pounds.
- 2 - 5 years maintenance experience preferred.

**Position Hours**:

- Monday to Friday until fully trained then Tuesday to Saturday with flexible hours as required
- Must have reliable transportation and valid Class 5 Drivers License

**Wages**:

- $21.00 p/hour with company benefits after three-month probationary period.

**Salary**: From $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
