Women in Resource Development Corporation is looking to hire a Workplace DEI Specialist to join their supportive and fast growing team. Created in 1997, Women in Resource Development Corporation (WRDC) is a provincial non-profit organization committed to increasing women's participation in trades and technology.
**What you will be doing**:
- Continuously updating training materials to ensure best practices & emerging trends
- Identifying new training needs and presenting solutions to address gaps
- Preparing proposals
- Delivering programming both in person & virtually through training and presentations to diverse audiences
- Co-facilitating online and on-site training offerings using a variety of creative techniques aligned with adult learning principles
- Developing recruitment and retention strategies, tools, and techniques (i.e., policy review, assessments, framework development)
- Developing materials for use in information sessions, presentations, training sessions/workshops, or by employers
- Developing, implementing, and evaluating programs to ensure requirements and WRDC standards are met
- Authorizing expenditures within the existing budget(s)
- Making budget recommendations
- Maintaining databases and reference materials for Employer Programs
- Providing program updates, as well as status and summary reports, to the COO and Partners on a regular basis
- Building and maintaining relationships with external partners and stakeholders
**What you will bring**:
- A Degree/ Diploma in a related discipline
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
- Strong knowledge of workplace diversity and inclusion strategies
- Experience in program planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation
- Strong communication skills both oral & written
- The ability to establish contacts and build long term relationships; work collaboratively with businesses, associations, government, educational institutions, indigenous groups, and community organizations
- Experience in facilitation and presenting to broad audiences
- High degree of computer literacy and advanced working knowledge of computer programs and software for virtual working and delivery
- The ability to work with a high regard for quality, accuracy, attention to detail
- The ability to work with mínimal supervision
- A driven team player mentality
- Experience in the not-for-profit sector is not required but considered an asset
- Bilingualism (English / French) is not required but considered an asset
